Q1. One of Verte ingredients is oligosaccharide. Is it suitable for diabetes?
A1: Oligosaccharide or inulin is a natural soluble vegetable fiber (from chicory roots, leek, asparagus, and artichoke) with a low caloric value (low on glycemic index). It is suitable for diabetics because inulin does not stimulate insulin secretion.

Q2. Chlorella is one of the ingredients in Verte. Do I still need to consume Chlorella besides Verte?
A2: Of course! The amount of Chlorella in Verte do not fulfilled the daily requirements. It is best recommended to consume 5-10 tablets of Chlorella together with Verte for a maximum health benefits.

Q4. What are prebiotics?
A4: Prebiotics are defined as “Non-digestible food ingredients that beneficially affect the host by selectively stimulating the growth and/or activity of one or a limited number of bacterial species already resident in the colon, and thus attempt to improve host health” (Gibson & Roberfroid, 1995).

A5: Yes. Oligosaccharides / inulin are classified as prebiotics. You should look for the labels of Fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS), inulin (a type of FOS)/ oligosaccharides.

A6: Both fiber and prebiotics are typically non-digestible carbohydrates, and both are typically fermented by gut bacteria. However, a prebiotics differs from fiber in that it needs to be selectively used in the gut – by only beneficial members of the gut microbial immunity.

In European Member States, chicory inulin and oligofructose are recognized and labeled as dietary fiber.
